Everland gives discount an overhaul for REMA 1000 Norway

More for less. That’s the mantra of consumers, especially when one crisis after another wash over the Nordic countries, tightening budgets and inducing uncertainty. Naturally, consumers turn to discount retailers to get the most out of their hard-earned money.

With the launch of a new private master brand, R, REMA 1000 in Norway is answering consumers’ calls. Scandinavian consumer brand agency Everland was involved, working on REMA 1000’s overall brand architecture and packaging design.

Designing the good choice

1000s of products are being redesigned and gradually rolled out across REMA 1000’s stores. To maintain coherence, Everland and REMA 1000 used simple building blocks like “distinct colours, contemporary typography, inspiring photography and illustrations”, as the agency writes in its press release. “This provides flexibility throughout the design system, making it adaptable across categories. The new identity helps consumers better navigate the categories and products while facilitating a brand experience and communicating REMA 1000’s value for money.” You can definitely see a link to Everland’s work for REMA 1000’s Danish sister organisation.
